How to ride together and join group voice chat

Follow along, step by step

   Look for a friend riding nearby

   Start a ride with Start Ride and follow the mounting and calibration prompts while safely stopped. When a friend is riding close by, the active-ride map can show a nearby-friend prompt with a Ride together option.

   Send or accept a ride invitation

   Tap Ride together to invite your friend. The video shows an invitation-sent message while waiting for the other rider to accept. Once accepted, you are connected in a shared ride and the map shows a TOGETHER badge. If you receive an invitation, accept it when you want to join that friend's ride.

   Join the group's voice channel

   From the shared ride, tap Voice to open the Sharing live location panel. Under Crew voice, tap Join voice. Joining the ride does not automatically connect your microphone: voice is a separate step, and you join muted.

   Talk with multiple riders

   Use Unmute microphone when you are ready to speak. Other riders in the shared ride can join the same voice channel, so multiple riders can talk together at the same time as a group chat, not just a one-to-one call.

   Stay in control of voice and sharing

   Use the microphone control to mute, or Leave voice to disconnect from the voice channel. Leave shared ride is a separate control for leaving the ride group. The panel notes that after unmuting, your microphone stays active when the screen is locked or another app is open, so mute or leave voice when you want to stop transmitting. Set up and adjust these controls only while safely stopped.
