Delete your RiderShield account

Request deletion of your RiderShield account and associated personal data. You can make your request here even if you have uninstalled the app. Deletion is permanent and affects your RiderShield account across Android and iOS.

Operated by RS Technology Group LLC

What happens next

  1. Send your request. Save the reference shown after receipt is confirmed. We acknowledge requests within five business days.
  2. Verify ownership. Our team will contact you for the limited information needed. Knowing an email address is not proof of ownership.
  3. Receive confirmation. Deletion is normally completed within 30 days of receiving your request, or sooner where law requires. Any lawful extension is explained within the original response period.

Prefer to email us?

Email privacy@getridershield.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my RiderShield account". State that you want your account and associated data deleted. Do not send your password.

Open email draft

This opens your email app; it does not send a request. If you cannot access your registered address, use this form or contact the same email for ownership-verification help.

What deletion covers

Under our published policy, deletion closes your account on Android and iOS and removes associated personal information from active systems, subject to the retention exceptions below.

  • Account identity, profile, preferences, garage vehicles and riding gear.
  • Rides, location and sensor telemetry, ride analysis and uploaded media.
  • Emergency contacts, SOS history, community posts, comments, reactions, follows, memberships and invitations.
  • Account-linked analytics, privacy zones, live-sharing state and derived records; consent evidence is subject to the limited retention rules.
  • Account-owned files, derived copies and retained object versions, including appropriate deletion by service providers acting on our behalf.
Groups and events are affected

Deletion can also affect groups you own, their content and events you organize, including content used by other members. Other users' unrelated accounts remain intact.

Stored copies and retained records

Disaster-recovery backups · up to 90 days
Residual backups expire within 90 days after deletion from active systems and are not available for ordinary use. Deletion records are reapplied before restored data is used; restoration does not restart retention.
Privacy and consent evidence · up to 24 months
Minimal request and outcome records may remain for 24 months after closure. Necessary consent and withdrawal evidence may remain for up to 24 months after account closure. These are restricted to privacy administration and exclude passwords, complete ride traces and media.
Technical and security records · up to 90 days
Normally retained for up to 90 days after creation. Specific records may be preserved for a documented investigation or legal requirement, not as a reason to keep all ride history indefinitely.
Optional analytics · up to 13 months
The ordinary retention limit is 13 months after collection; account deletion and any shorter legally required period take precedence. Truly anonymized statistics may remain.
Legal obligations and independent copies
Specific legally required records are restricted and deleted when the requirement ends. Independent copies held by other people or businesses, including DMG Motorsports purchase records, are not automatically deleted by RiderShield.

We explain any applicable retained categories, purposes and periods in our response. See sections 7 and 8 of the Privacy Policy for the full terms.

Other ways to get help

In the app, use Profile → Delete Account or the Delete Account option in Settings. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your server account. For access, corrections, consent withdrawal or account help, use the privacy request form.
